Say hello to Horizon Hot Wheels Park, the new virtual destination for gamers who want to embrace their love for Mattel’s iconic die-cast cars.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels, the much talked about DLC for the game Forza Horizon 5 was confirmed by a trailer during yesterday’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
This new DLC will offer some of the most extreme tracks to ever appear in a Forza game, including gravity-defying magnetic tracks, ice tracks, rumble tracks, and more. The expansion will offer more than 200 km of tracks in the Horizon Hot Wheels Park, a dizzying park located in the clouds above Mexico. The DLC will also have four new biomes – Giant’s Canyon, the Cauldron of Ice; forest falls; and Horizon Nexus – and players can complete missions to unlock events in a new five-part Horizon story that celebrates Hot Wheels history.
Of course, what would a new Forza expansion be without new cars? Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will have 10 new cars, including the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II. Players can also customize their own Hot Wheels adventure with 80 unique track pieces to smash through EventLab with the DLC’s Hot Wheels Creation Kit.
Previously, Hot Wheels collaborated with Playground Games on Forza Horizon 3 — which garnered massive fan support. This latest expansion is expected to be even bigger, with major improvements and advancements, such as the Customizable Track.
Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels will launch for Xbox consoles, PC on Windows and Steam, and cloud gaming on July 19. Runners who have Forza Horizon 5 can pre-order the DLC for $20, or get the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle for $49.99, which includes Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels and all additional content included in the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 5.
