There’s so much to love about the 60s and 70s, from hippies and disco to colorful bell bottoms. To celebrate this decade of love, Def Jam Records founding artist and Creative Director Cey Adams is taking us all down memory lane with a Hot Wheels collaboration.

Today, October 3, Adams is releasing a 5-foot 3D sculpture created with Hot Wheels catalogs, advertisements and other archival Hot Wheels print materials from the 60s and 70s, as part of his current art exhibit. , “Departure – 40 years of art and design. This isn’t Adams’ first crack at Hot Wheels art, either. In 2014, the artist put his own spin on the Hot Wheels logo for a cloth.

This time, however, the collaboration extends beyond the art gallery. To celebrate Adam’s latest Hot Wheels work, Mattel Creations is releasing a limited-edition Hot Wheels die-cast pickup truck inspired by Adams’ popular “Love” murals. This white van has the word “love” in red, white and blue pop art on both sides, with beams of color radiating from it. The rear doors of the pickup carry Adams’ signature and there are artistic details on the hood. The van wrap features the same stunning artwork and includes Adams’ biography on the back. Each die-cast van also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Adams’ artwork is designed to celebrate an iconic brand and an iconic era in American history. Collectors will soon be able to purchase this van, exclusively at Mattel Creations.
