Interactive Hot Wheels Exhibit is coming to Kentucky this summer

Hot Wheels has been a staple of childhood toys for generations, and now a new immersive and interactive exhibit is coming to Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Since 1968, Hot Wheels cars have been a popular toy among children. All the different types of cars that have been made over the years, combined with the different types of tracks you could create for them to “race”, are amazing. I remember growing up wishing I could drive a car on one of these tracks much like they did in “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves”.

If you grew up playing with Hot Wheels or if your kids love playing with cars and tracks, there’s a new exhibit at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky that you’ll want to check out.

Hot Wheels: Race to Win

Hot Wheels: Race to Win will make a pit stop from May 27, 2022, through September 25, 2022, at the National Corvette Museum. The exhibit itself was created by the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in partnership with Mattel. This will be a Hot Wheels fan’s dream. According to the press release:

In the exhibition Hot Wheels: Race to Win, visitors can be part of a dynamic racing team working together to build and test the fastest and safest speed machines on the planet using Hot Wheels die-cast cars to experience and play. This behind-the-scenes look at the exciting world of racing explores the scientific process of designing super-fast cars and helping families who need speed figure out how to achieve it.

But that’s not all visitors can experience at this Hot Wheels exhibit. The press release goes on to say:

Kids and families will love the Pit Stop Challenge where they and their family and friends can race against time to change tires and refuel cars. A 6-lane downhill speed track, power boost track, adjustable angle track and timing track are just a few of the ways visitors can test their theories about the science of racing and cause and effect relationships. Real race car parts, authentic artifacts and captivating memorabilia, including Corvettes from the National Corvette Museum’s collection, will round out the experience.
