Knight Rider is coming to SDCC 2022 with an exclusive Hot Wheels car

This year marks the 40e anniversary of the hit 80s action television series, Knight Rider. Lots of love is going out for the series, like Fanhome’s massive new KITT subscription with lights and sounds. However, that’s not the only Knight Rider collectible coming, as Mattel has unveiled an exclusive Hot Wheels KITT for San Diego Comic Con. The 1:64 scale model captures the iconic Pontiac Trans Am with a die-cast body and chassis. Hot Wheels truly has some awesome SDCC exclusive collectibles every year, and this one shows it with its awesome packaging and features. Just like the real Knight Rider KITT, Hot Wheels made sure this version also lights up and includes its own charger. A slipcover package is shown with KITT sealed inside with its own display case. Hot Wheels collectors won’t want to miss this SDCC exclusive, and it’s priced at $35. Pre-orders should go live Friday, July 22 at 1:00 PM EST here. Be sure to check out some of the other Hot Wheels SDCC exclusives with Mario Kart, Marvel and Star Wars.

“Roll into the retro sunset with KITT, the artificially intelligent supercar with a mind of its own. To celebrate the 40e anniversary of that hit ’80s TV show, Hot Wheels has created a 1:64 scale model of the witty, self-aware Trans Am that’s programmed to protect. Just like the original supercar, this model features its signature LED lighting and futuristic console interior. Colors and decorations may vary.”
