There is only one thing in this world that a child and an adult will fight over. Yes, we’re talking about Hot Wheels’ plethora of cool and weird cars. These model cars remain desirable regardless of age and time, and some of these toys are also worth a fortune! Many of us would also have fallen in love with cars because of these little wonders.
At the 2022 Milan Monza Motor Show, Lamborghini decided to woo everyone with a special car. They teamed up with Hot Wheels to create a life-size toy car out of a Huracan EVO Spyder. This project was for a worthy cause to help inspire kids to get a taste of the adrenaline-filled automotive industry that introduced it to the world at MiMo 2022.
Cool elements of this unique project include the iconic flame livery that we’ve come to see on many Hot Wheels toys. Lamborghini using its famous Verde Alceo paint job as a backdrop for the flames added much more dynamism to this great toy. Very soon, we feel that Hot Wheels will launch a real toy model of this Lamborghini with flames!
This unique Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder with the Hot Wheels treatment is enough to make your and your child’s eyes shine!
Lamborghini made this Hot Wheels Lambo for the Supertoys for Superkids project
This unique Huracan EVO Sypder is the collaborative effort of Lamborghini Centro Stile and Hot Wheels for a worthy cause through the Supertoys for Superkids project. This initiative is a means of motivation to help children develop their interest in the automotive world and help them enter this universe.
And hitting straight into the thrills with a Hot Wheels-themed Lamborghini is an awesome method. Go on! Even we’re drooling over this life-size toy supercar.
Cool Exterior Makeover With Easter Eggs For This Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder
The major mods on this Lamborghini Huracan are limited to aesthetics on the bodywork. The EVO Spyder isn’t a very subtle car, even in production form. But this one-off Lambo under the supervision of Lamborghini Style Center manager Mitija Borket managed to pop a few more colors.
He uses the “acid” Alceo Green paint job as his canvas and gives this EVO Sypder some flames. Many of you may be familiar with the flame vinyl work done here, as it is a signature Hot Wheels design element.
Vibrant orange flames and electric blue inserts are not the side skids, fenders and a center stripe; come together to form an eye-catching color scheme. Blue inserts are also found on the air intakes, headlight assembly and mirror covers.
The double blue stripes that run the full length to the center end halfway down the bonnet just before the “Lamborghini” emblem like the tip of an arrow. The iconic “Hot Wheels” logo is also present on the hood. There’s a nifty bunch of Easter eggs all around the car, including a vinyl sticker on the engine cover that says “Warning, this is a hypertoy”. Well, that’s for sure!
Subtle interior elements to bring out your inner child
This unique Lambo has been visually modified on the outside only. The cabin remains unchanged from a stock 2022 Huracan EVO Sypder and comes in an all-black upholstery layout. A subtle reminder of what’s on the outside is a Hot Wheels scale model of a Lamborghini Huracan above the instrument cluster.
It has an arrow with “Remove Before Drive” pointing to the blue scale model. The tech elements are unchanged with an 8.4-inch portrait infotainment touchscreen that also houses all of the car’s functions. But it would have been cooler if this aesthetic work was also included in a custom Hot Wheels theme for the electronics.
No Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder Performance Changes Here
The Huracan EVO Sypder is packed in a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 howler which is also shared with the Audi R8. This one-off retains factory horsepower which is pretty wild at 631 hp at 8,000 rpm and 442 lb-ft of torque at 6,500 rpm.
This Hot Wheels Lambo sends power to all four wheels via a smooth-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Although it weighs 250 pounds more than the Huracan EVO Coupe, the AWD Sypder still manages to do 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of over 200 mph.
This great toy will be fun to watch for young and old
This custom Lambo will most likely be used for various other Supertoys for the Superkids project. It was showcased at the 2022 Milan Monza Motor Show which ran from June 16-19, 2022. But we can expect it to appear at various kid-specific events in Europe and elsewhere. And who knows, we might see it in a Hot Wheels event in the US one day, too.
